On the Trump Tower site located on West Georgia Street, the original plan was to have the Arthur Erickson design called The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Due to a recessive market the developer didn’t go ahead with the construction and the lot stayed empty. Holborn took on the project in 2012 using the Trump name as an indication of the style of the luxury building. The famed tower is a mixed-use development featuring residences and a luxury hotel. The hotel has 147 guest rooms, a champagne lounge, signature restaurant, 6,000-sq-ft. Trump Spa, and 15,000-sq.ft. of meeting and event space. The original twisting design of the tower maximizes the window features and views in every suite. And because of this unique design, every suite is distinctive with no two views exactly alike. It has since been renamed the Paradox Hotel and Suites.
