JULY 2026 FOUNDER’S MESSAGE – A Season to Remember

The long sunny days of July are here. The FIFA World Cup has given Vancouver an unforgettable start to summer, bringing people together from around the globe. We’ve welcomed the world to our doorstep and the atmosphere across the city has been electric.

Home sales are up this month in all types of housing across Metro Vancouver. There were 5,938 detached, attached and apartment properties newly listed for sale on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in Metro Vancouver in June 2026. This was 5.9% above the 10-year seasonal average.

Sales of detached homes in June 2026 were up 13.7% from June 2025. Attached home sales in June 2026 were up 11.4% compared to the same time last year. The total number of properties currently listed for sale on the MLS system in Metro Vancouver is 17,017, up 30.2% above the 10-year seasonal average.

June’s data could be an early sign of a shift in the market, explained Andrew Lis, Greater Vancouver Realtors’ chief economist and vice-president of data analytics, in a recent report. All housing types posting gains in June points to demand returning to the market more broadly.

Metro Vancouver’s real estate market is active and benchmark prices are stable. Mortgage rates remain low and the condo market is currently the strongest it has been in 14 months. Most major Canadian bank economists predict the Bank of Canada to deliver one or two more modest rate cuts before the end of the year.
