There were 16,394 properties listed for sale on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in Metro Vancouver last month, giving buyers a broad selection across home types and neighbourhoods. This was 24.3% above the 10-year seasonal average. There were 5,852 new listings on the market in September, up 5.7% above the long-term average.
Andrew Lis, Greater Vancouver Realtors’ chief economist and vice-president of data analytics, recently reported that attached and detached home sales were slightly above last year’s levels. The composite benchmark price for all types of residential properties in Vancouver was $1,075,900.
Last month, 10.3% fewer new listings entered the market than the previous year.
